Huawei Technologies ("Huawei"), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, announced that it has successfully deployed the industry's longest 40G commercial transport network for TransTeleCom (TTC), a top three fixed telecom carrier in Russia. The 1,141 km network, connecting Moscow and St. Petersburg, requires no electric regeneration. The solution uses Huawei's patented SuperWDM technologies to achieve
ultra-long haul transmission without electrical regeneration at
distances of over 1,500km. Huawei's C-band extension patent technology
can help operators increase their fiber transmission bandwidth by an
extra 20%, which makes Huawei the only vendor with a transmission
capacity of 3.84T – the largest in the industry. |
