Alcatel-Lucent  today announced that it has been selected by the Beijing municipal government to deploy an optical transport network solution in Beijing, to enhance e-government security services and deliver mission critical communications. The project, which follows the announcement of
Alcatel-Lucent’s selection for China’s national e-government network transformation project in December 2007, is scheduled for completion by August 2008. This contract was signed through Alcatel Shanghai Bell, Alcatel-Lucent’s flagship company in China.
