BroadLight, the leading supplier of GPON semiconductors and software, today announced that Comtrend Corporation has selected its BL2348 System-on Chip (SoC) for a GPON residential gateway (RG) that connects the home network directly to the access network. This new generation of GPON equipment enables global leaders such as Comtrend to deliver the cost and performance targets needed to deploy triple play services in volume. |
